Landscaping Work will Block Sidewalks, Create Brief Traffic Delays This Weekend

Work to trim large trees on our Duke Raleigh Hospital campus will cause some disruptions to sidewalk travel and traffic flow over the weekend.

Saturday, September 19

Traffic will be unable to enter the P2 Parking Garage from Wake Forest Road 7:30 a.m. -8:15 a.m. as branches are trimmed on the tree directly next to the garage by Wake Forest Road. During this time visitors that need to enter the garage should use the second entrance. Continue past Medical Office Building 7 (3404 Wake Forest Road) and enter to the left.

Visitors parking in the P2 Parking Garage, please use the sidewalk nearest to the garage to access the Emergency Department and Medical Office Building 7 and walk left through the traffic circle to access the main hospital entrance. This pedestrian path detour will last until noon.

Additional trimming work will take place near the P1 Parking Garage and Medical Office Building 6 (3320 Wake Forest Road) in the afternoon. Team members and patients in Medical Office Building 6 should use the side entrance to access the facility.

Sunday, September 20

Tree trimming will take place in the traffic circle at the front of the main hospital entrance from 7:30 a.m. until noon on Sunday. Expect brief delays as a flagger stops traffic as limbs are removed from trees.

For team members and visitors parking in the P2 Parking Garage, please use the sidewalk nearest to the garage to access the Emergency Department and Medical Office Building 7 and walk left through the traffic circle to access the main hospital entrance. This pedestrian path detour will last until noon.
