Duke Raleigh Hospital partnered with Wake County Public Health, PNC Arena, WakeMed Health & Hospitals, and UNC REX Healthcare to open an appointment only COVID-19 vaccination drive-thru at PNC Arena today.
The site is Wake County’s third mass vaccination site. Duke Raleigh Hospital and other hospital partners worked with Wake County Public Health to administer vaccinations, assist with logistics and provide medical support to create this efficient and safe appointment-only drive-thru site, with support from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
“We are proud to provide support for this appointment only COVID-19 vaccination drive-thru partnership,” said Leigh Bleecker, Interim President of Duke Raleigh Hospital. “This partnership is one more step to helping us vaccinate more North Carolinians and put an end to the pandemic and return to the places and people we love.”
The site will begin with two days of vaccinations today and Saturday, with the goal of inviting more than 2,100 health care workers and those 65 and older from Wake County’s COVID-19 vaccine waitlist.
