Once again, Duke Raleigh Hospital, Duke University Hospital and Duke Regional Hospital earned top scores for hospital safety from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit organization run by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits.
The “A” scores for Leapfrog’s spring 2022 survey are part of the group’s Hospital Safety Grades, issued to hospitals every six months. Duke Health’s three hospitals were among nearly 30,000 hospitals surveyed across the country.
“The consecutive ‘A’ grades from Leapfrog demonstrate our teams’ commitment to patient safety and providing the highest level of care at all three of our hospitals,” said Craig Albanese, M.D., executive vice president and chief operating officer of Duke University Health System. “We are proud of our team and their resilience to uphold quality and safety standards and prevent avoidable harm, especially during a pandemic.”
